The treatment of surfaces represents a key technology for the technical-scientific, economic and ecological solution of current problems in the development of innovative products. The annual Oberflaechentage held in September by the Zentralverband Oberflächentechnik e.V. (ZVO) make an important contribution to this.
The primary objective of the Oberflaechentage is the targeted networking of research and practice on the subject of electroplating and surface technology and the support of cross-industry communication. The opening up of new areas of application for electroplated coatings and the increasing demands on coated surfaces, as well as dealing with new legal regulations at EU and federal level, are the core topics of the Surface Days. The trade audience from the fields of development, construction, design and manufacturing in particular will benefit from the practical orientation of these events.
This year, the experts in electroplating and surface technology will meet from September 13 to 15 in Berlin at the Mercure Hotel MOA Berlin, where 308 rooms are available for our congress guests at the same time. Further contingent hotels are located in the immediate vicinity. The congress promises to be an event of short distances. From the exhibition plaza with currently 71 booth areas, the lecture halls can be reached in just a few steps.
Congress tickets (individual or group bookings) can be booked via our online registration portal. Deadline for registration is Friday, September 8, 2023, 13:00.
The official start of the ZVO Surface Days 2023 will be the opening evening on September 13 at 6 pm. After the welcome by the new ZVO President Jörg Püttbach, the participants can look forward to an exciting keynote: Regina Halmich, pioneer of women's boxing, long-time world champion and expert in coaching, will speak on the topic "Bloß nicht in den Seilen hängen. What success in the ring and in business have in common."

In addition to the regularly recurring headings, this year's lecture program, which starts the following day, will focus on Climate Neutrality & Energy and Resource Efficiency, Entrepreneur Forum: Management meets Surface, Cost- and Resource-Efficient Wastewater Treatment, Surface Processes for Sustainable, Climate-Neutral and Energy-Saving Coating, Technologies for Surface Functionalization outside of Electroplating, Challenge Industrial Component Cleaning: New Requirements on Particulate and Filmic Contamination, and much more.
The congress program will be rounded off by presentations from the recurring areas Results from Research: Young Colleagues Report, Wear Protection & Tribology, New Requirements for Electroplating and Surface Technology and Complementary Technologies for Electroplating and Surface Technology.
In addition, for the first time, a consultation hour will be offered on regulatory developments in European and national environmental and chemicals policy.
